From the Cemetery side (east side):
From town (Isabel II), take Rte 200 west. Turn right at the corner of Rts 200 and 201, toward the water.

Down the road, take the first left into the neighborhood before the cemetery. Go right, and then a quick left. Turn right at the T and take the road down toward the water.

Park near the gazebo and follow the drainage down to the beach. The standard advice applies here: “don’t leave any valuables in the car and don’t lock the car”.

From the “W” side (west side):
From town (Isabel II), take Rte 200 west. Go past the turn for Rte 201 toward Esperanza, and go 0.4 miles. Turn at the chainlink fence gate into the large open field on your right.

There are several paths, but the easiest is to take the dirt road fork toward the right and then continue to bear right in the big wide open area. When this open area comes to an end, there is a path on the left that heads down to the beach.

You can continue to drive down this until the terrain requires you to park. It’s only a few hundred yards, so park wherever makes sense for your vehicle. The standard advice: “don’t leave any valuables in the car and don’t lock the car”.

Parking:

This is a small but beautiful beach on the northside just downhill from the “new” cemetery (the old one is in Isabel II). It is a small cove that gets a little tight in high tides, so it’s worth keeping an eye on on the water level if you spend more than an hour or so there.

We were told by a local friend that the neighborhood just up from there isn’t particularly safe, so she didn’t recommend this beach. Nevertheless, we have always had fun there collecting seaglass and seeing the views of mainland PR, Culebra, and the Isabel II harbor. The only person we’ve ever seen on this beach was a man and his young son.

There are rocks in the water, and the seas can be rough here so it’s often not suitable for swimming or other water activities, but on a calm day there is an area on the right that is swimmable, and we’re told the snorkeling is great. Depending on conditions, this beach can be really nice for fishing, beachcombing, and just enjoying the solitude.

There is some shade here, near where the path comes from the cemetery down to the sand.
