{"id":1732,"date":"2017-09-09T15:59:56","date_gmt":"2017-09-09T19:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/upyourfashiongame.wordpress.com\/2017\/09\/09\/a-beautiful-life\/"},"modified":"2019-08-31T16:34:13","modified_gmt":"2019-08-31T20:34:13","slug":"a-beautiful-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kneedeepinit.com\/a-beautiful-life\/","title":{"rendered":"A Beautiful Life"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I&#8217;m very sad to report Deb&#8217;s mother passed away yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Rest in Peace Corinne Jeanette Surface.<\/p>\n<p>She grew up in McPherson, Kansas and met her future husband Dave there when they were both teenagers. Fifty-five years of marriage followed, along with two great kids Daryl and Deb. I&#8217;ve been fortunate myself to know Corinne for over 25 years.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kneedeepinit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Corinne-Surface-3-731x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Corrine in her late teens\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1024\" width=\"731\">\n\t\tA young beauty\n\t<p>She loved to read books, many, many books, and was a reading tutor in the local schools for many years.&nbsp;Always active in her church, she also enjoyed camping in the Colorado mountains with Dave and the rest of the family. &nbsp;She was quite a cook;&nbsp;she and Dave always served up some delicious concoctions cooked over the fire (nachos, pea soup with ham, hobo pockets, campfire pies, all great stuff!). But she was best known for her love of her kitty cats. &nbsp;She had several over the years, but it was her two black long-hair kitties, Sampson and Cinder, who kept her company the last few years. &nbsp;Based on the pictures I found, it seems she also loved our little white doggies!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kneedeepinit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_4361-e1524851947100-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Kirby the dog\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1024\" width=\"768\">\n\t\tCorinne and Kirby\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kneedeepinit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/20160616_200201-e1524851830607-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Maxwell the dog\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"1024\" width=\"576\">\n\t\tCorinne and Maxwell\n\t<p>Deb and Dave are doing fine, we all are because this was known for several months. &nbsp;It didn&#8217;t make the actual day easy for any of us, but it helped that this wasn&#8217;t a surprise. It did progress faster than expected &#8211; we only got here 8 days before she passed.<\/p>\n<p>Her pastor kept saying how blessed she was to live such a beautiful life, with loving family around her for so long.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/kneedeepinit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/4a444-grandma.jpg\" alt=\"Corinne portrait in her 70s\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"825\" width=\"603\">\n\t\tGrandma\n\t<p>So it&#8217;s a very sad day, but also a new beginning for Dave and the family. Us &#8220;kids&#8221;&nbsp;are still going to do our things, and we expect Dave will find opportunities to enjoy life in new and different ways.
